Dear Legislators:

You are looking for an answer to Hate Crimes and Prejudice. Your answer can be found for the 21st Century in something as simple as "Love thy Neighbor As thyself' found in the Bible and shown through good example through the Ages.

In the State of Rhode Island the Idea was Love for All Neighbors. They proclaimed An Act, Neighbor Day as a Day of Special Observance (Re-link) for all towns and cities in Rhode Island.

In Denison's 'Westerly and its Witnesses"" I quote "We are what we are mainly by the law of inheritance. We are building upon the foundation laid by others. We are reaping harvests in fields that other hands have sown. Our debt that we owe to the past, should be paid, in part, at least, by a generous endeavor to register and place in historical position and security, the names and labors of our deserving ancestors,- a service to our fathers, to ourselves, and to our children."

I ask you, our legislators in Washington D.C., to please help our nation, and then the World, for the New Millennium.

Please pass an Act for a National Neighbor Day (Re-link)  (Sunday before Memorial Day weekend each year in perpetuity), and then a Resolution to the United Nations memorializing them to do the same for a Worldwide Neighbor Day.

Do It Now for the 21" Century!

Thank You.
